About the Center for Electrology: Our Facility

Center for Electrology is located east of the river, near downtown Portland, in a space designed to support both focused learning and creative energy.

Our facility features over a dozen fully equipped treatment beds and machines, giving students the opportunity to train in a real clinical environment. We intentionally avoid limiting instruction to a single brand or system. Instead, students gain hands-on experience with a wide range of professional equipment — because knowledge is power.

Exposure to multiple machines and technologies allows students to:

  • Build confidence across modalities and systems
  • Develop adaptable, real-world skills
  • Make informed, educated decisions when purchasing their own equipment

In addition to modern technology, we maintain a collection of vintage electrolysis machines dating back to the early 1900s. These historic pieces connect students to the roots of the profession, offering a tangible understanding of how electrology has evolved — and why modern standards matter.

Our space reflects how we teach.

It’s bright, creative, and welcoming, while remaining grounded in science, professionalism, and high educational standards. The atmosphere is lighthearted but intentional — a place where curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcomed, and learning feels both rigorous and inspiring.

At Center for Electrology, the environment supports the mission: to prepare skilled, confident electrologists for long-term success in the field.

Meet Danielle Lee: Founder & Lead Educator, Center for Electrology

Electrolysis has been part of Danielle Lee’s life from the very beginning.

She grew up in an electrology clinic, watching her mother, Cheryl, build her career after beginning her practice in 1984. Early on, Danielle learned the true impact of this work — the confidence it restores, the trust it requires, and the responsibility that comes with permanent results.

With 10+ years of professional experience, Danielle is a practicing electrologist known for precision, care, and real-world expertise. She also holds a tattoo license and brings the perspective of an artist and designer to her work, blending creativity with technical mastery.

As her career evolved, so did her purpose.

Recognizing a growing shortage of trained electrologists in her state — and the absence of formal education programs — Danielle expanded her role into training. What began as chairside instruction quickly grew into a mission to build a stronger, more modern standard for education.

Meet Maia Pace

Maia represents the third generation of electrologists in the family, continuing a legacy rooted in skill, care, and lifelong learning. With five years of hands-on practice, she brings both experience and fresh perspective to the treatment room and the classroom.

As a practicing electrologist and instructor, Maia is passionate about supporting students and helping them build confidence through real-world training. Her calm presence, attention to detail, and dedication to growth make her an invaluable part of the Center for Electrology team.

Outside the clinic, Maia enjoys arts and crafts, getting lost in a good book, and chasing after her daughter — who just might become the fourth generation one day.

Our development

Danielle worked diligently to develop a curriculum that addressed the gaps she had observed throughout the industry — outdated information, inconsistent standards, and limited real-world preparation. Her goal was to create an educational program that was accurate, current, science-based, and rooted in practical experience.

That vision became:

Center for Electrology

.

Today, Center for Electrology is a fully licensed private trade school approved by the State of Oregon, dedicated to elevating the standard of electrology education. What started with one student and one treatment room has grown into a respected training program grounded in integrity, precision, and passion for the profession.

Center For Electrology's mission is clear: to empower the next generation of electrologists with the knowledge, confidence, and skill to change lives — including their own.
